Project Brief
As a member of the in-house design team at Caydon, I was responsible for designing the bespoke joinery for Reverie Apartments. Situated on the esplanade, just a short stroll from the beach, this project was envisioned as a flagship for Caydon’s entry into the luxury apartment market. Each level comprises a single dwelling of nearly 200sqm, with joinery crafted to the highest level of detail and workmanship, while maintaining the distinctive identity and refined elegance synonymous with a Caydon development.

Material Selection
Sunny beaches, soft sea breezes, and foaming waves crashing along the shore inspired the design of this luxury apartment in North Burleigh. The kitchen form echoes the building’s architectural façade, with curves drawn from the rhythm of waves and their natural movement along the coastline.
The material palette was guided by key themes of natural, light, sensuous, calming, and neutral—kept deliberately airy to reflect the coastal atmosphere. Muted light oak and pale stone anchor the space with warmth and subtlety, framing the expansive terraces and allowing the breathtaking ocean views to remain the true focus.
